Purpose of this Session
In looking at the Ecclesia as God’s House or Temple, we are also reminded that we are His ‘household’. He is our Father, and we are His dear children.
“So then, as occasion and opportunity open up to us, let us do good [morally] to all people [not only being useful or profitable to them, but also doing what is for their spiritual good and advantage]. Be mindful to be a blessing, especially to those of the household of faith [those who belong to God’s family with you, the believers].”
(Galatians 6:10 AMP)
“Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,”
(Ephesians 2:19 NKJV)
Through the new birth we have become part of God’s family. He is our Father and we are His children; fellow heirs with Jesus Christ. Praise God, through Him, we bear the family likeness, being conformed to His image (Romans 8:29), who is the Firstborn among many brethren.
